coming soon in 2012

  • Amnesia Hat 06 is in production and will be printed in February
  • I've found some leftover covers and interiors of previously printed CGTP books, so I'll be putting together some new copies of Flying Objects, Lemon, Living with Myself Forgetting and The Suspect in the next two months
  • For spring/summer: more Amnesia Hat, a book of polaroids, a new photobook from David Agasi, and more!

Coming Soon: Lemon by Motojiro Kajii

Lemon cover

Available soon from Cold Green Tea Press: Lemon, a story by Motojiro Kajii, translated from the Japanese by Chinatsu Komori and Kenneth Traynor.

Motojiro Kajii (1901-1932) was a Japanese writer who has rarely been translated into English.  Although a relatively unknown writer during his short life, published in only a few literary magazines, Motojiro Kajii's poetic short stories are recognized today as masterpieces in Japan.

Lemon is a 28 page handmade book: 4.25" x 5.5", staple-bound.  The interior is color laser printed, with several high quality black and white photographs.  The cover has a spine and a full color photograph on the front.

This book is currently in production and will be available for sale online at Amazon, the cgtp site and in stores by mid-September.  Details and sample images to be posted shortly on this site.

watch this space

Cold Green Tea Press has three projects coming out in July.  One is the translation from the Japanese I mentioned some time ago, and the others are mini-books of photographs.   I will announce the names and details as soon as they go into print-- last this week or early next week I'll be teaching during July/August so they'll come out slower than expected, but will be in stores by August 15.  The summer should see two additional books we've been working on going to print as well.

Introducing Cold Green Tea Press

Welcome to the Cold Green Tea Press, a DIY micropress for publishing chapbooks of innovative writing and translation. On this site I will post news on current and upcoming publications, information on distribution and publishing, links in the sidebar to where you can purchase books online as well as some images of the process used to assemble Cold Green Tea publications. The look of the site is currently a work in progress, so expect to see a few changes in the near future.
